First paragraph: State the job you're applying for. Mention how you learned of the opening. One line about what especially interests you about the job or employer.
Next 2-3 paragraphs: Describe your key skills and strengths for the position. Include something unique about your experience or education that relates to this job or employer. Use different examples or language than your resume. Explain why you want to work for this employer. Name something specific you've learned about the employer, and how you relate to it. Use clear, strong writing skills.
Final paragraph: Mention that your resume is attached, and state your enthusiasm to meet with them to discuss the position. If your schedule is busy, mention when you are readily available. Include a statement or question that will encourage the reader to respond. Thank the employer for considering your applicaiton.
