Award Type Scholarship
Purpose To support individuals who are conducting lessons and research regarding the health and general status of children and adults with cerebral palsy, developmental disorders, and other childhood-onset disabilities.
Focus Child development; Disabilities; Mental health.
Qualifications Applicants must be current members or applicants of the AACPDM; must be a member, or apply for membership, before being able to access the scholarship application; must not be a current AACPDM Awards Committee member; must have submitted an abstract to the Annual Meeting but are not required to be lead author of the abstract; individuals who have received a Student Travel Scholarship 3 times are disqualified from applying.
Criteria Preference will be given to scholarship applicants whose abstracts have been accepted; will be based upon overall merit of application and the following: author position is taken into account (1st author preferred); type of presentation (podium presentation > poster > demonstration poster > instructional course > breakfast seminar).

To Apply Applicants must submit online application form; a current CV - no more than two pages; a brief statement (1-2 paragraphs) outlining why they wish to have an AACPDM scholarship; a letter of support from applicants Program Chief, Clinical Head, Program Director, Faculty Advisor or authorized official; student verification letter required as part of the Student Member application process; the letter should follow the guidelines outlined below: must be written on institution letterhead; no more than 250 words; must include the letter writer's name, position, email address, relationship with the candidate, and how long they've known them; must state why the candidate is deserving of a scholarship and how it would benefit their training and prospective career; have any necessary documents ready to upload.
