Purpose To provide financial support for students interested and excelling in graduate level studies in planning related to natural resources, energy or the environment.
Focus Energy-related areas; Natural resources; Urban affairs/design/planning.
Qualifications Applicants must be second-year graduate students enrolled in a PAB-accredited graduate planning program focusing on issues related to the environment, natural resources, or energy; may be full or part-time, but must be classified as a student in a Master of Planning program or related field; must have GPA above 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; focused on issues related to the environment, natural resources or energy, and pursuing a program or course of study consistent with the Division's mission.
Criteria Selection shall be based on the aforesaid qualifications, quality of application materials submitted, and connection of the students' course of study to Division's mission. Preference will be given to students with APA and Division memberships.
Funds $1,500
Duration Annual.
Number of Awards Varies.
To Apply Applicants must submit their respective application forms; recommendation letters from their own thesis/project faculty advisors; an 800-word description of the student's master's thesis or project, including how it relates to the division's mission; a 600-word essay describing interest in environmental planning, experience and future goals; and, curriculum vitae or resume. Completed application with the five submission requirements listed should be submitted to the contact provided.
