        The ABPMR offers subspecialty certification in Neuromuscular Medicine as a distinct clinical entity in order to improve clinical care and assessment of patients with neuromuscular disease, including diagnostic evaluation, treatment, management, and counseling. The subspecialty certification will identify physiatrists who, by virtue of specialized education, demonstration of qualifications, and experience, are recognized as specialists in neuromuscular medicine.
