Purpose To help applicant's research and study facilities as well as connections with colleagues, institutions, and authorities through its branch centers in Istanbul and Ankara.
Focus History, Ancient; Humanities; Medieval studies; Modern languages; Social sciences.
Qualifications Applicant must be scholars and advanced graduate students engaged in research on ancient, medieval, or modern times in Turkey, in any field of the humanities and social sciences; student applicants must have fulfilled all requirements for the doctorate except the dissertation by June 2023, and before beginning any ARIT-sponsored research; non-U.S. applicants who reside in the U.S. or Canada are expected to maintain an affiliation with an educational institution in the U.S. or Canada.
Criteria Selection will be based on the committee criteria.

Application materials and three letters of recommendation must be submitted; download, save, and complete the application form linked above; submit your application by electronically; letters of reference should support the value of the proposed research and the applicant’s capacity to carry out the project; graduate student applicants must provide a copy of their graduate transcript; submit the bibliography, curriculum vitae, and project statement in pdf or Word format separately.
