Summary You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST of CENTER FOR SECURITY FORCES. Responsibilities You will identify, plan, conduct and supervise all preventive maintenance checks on all Learning Site (LS) training. You will ensure maintenance bay and boat storage areas are in a high state of readiness, that all assets are secured, and all assigned areas are compliant with governing environmental rules and regulations. You will serve as the LS to commercial vendors for the conduct of warranty repairs, equipment and parts shipments and repair services for all equipment used for training. You will schedule maintenance due dates, document/record spare part usage rates and expenditures and routine maintenance conducted. You will receive, inspect, move, carry, transport, distribute, and store varying types, numbers, sizes, and weights of Naval stock, parts, equipment, crafts, and vehicles, etc. You will serve as a member of a team that performs operational sea-trials requiring the launch and recovery of small craft boats, etc. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Coordinating a small boat maintenance program to ensure established deadlines are upheld; 2) Utilizing knowledge of small boat repair, outboard engine repair, overhauling/rebuilding marine craft assemblies and sub-systems in the inspection of small boat equipment; 3) Utilizing computer applications in the inventory and boat maintenance record keeping; 4) Interpreting manuals, illustrations, diagrams and schematics in troubleshooting electrical systems, fuel systems and gear cases.
