About the Team

At Nutanix, you will join the IT-SE-WINDOWS team under the broader GCO - Global Cloud Operations team, consisting of 35 passionate individuals located across the US, Netherlands, Serbia, and India. As part of this diverse group, you will experience a dynamic and high-energy IT environment that prioritizes innovation and operational excellence. The team thrives on collaborative efforts, fostering a sense of unity despite geographical dispersion. The GCO team plays a crucial role within Nutanix, ensuring the smooth operation of critical systems through cutting-edge technologies and automation.

You will report to the Manager of Hybrid Cloud Operations, who is dedicated to supporting your professional growth and success within the team. The work setup at Nutanix is remote/hybrid, allowing for flexibility in balancing work-from-home and in-office needs. For those local to a Nutanix office, the expectation is to be present 1-2 days a week in the office, fostering in-person collaboration and team bonding.

Regarding travel requirements, Nutanix does not have extensive travel expectations within this role, allowing you to focus primarily on your responsibilities and contributions to the GCO team.

Your Role

  • Manage, Monitor and troubleshoot Windows systems

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop technical solutions

  • Maintain and administer custom tools

  • Install and configure Active Directory

  • Maintain DNS

  • Automate processes through scripting and tools development

  • Provide sustainable and scalable technical solutions

  • Support end users and monitor systems

  • Participate in long-term IT and Engineering strategies

What You Will Bring

  • 5+ years of experience as a Windows Systems Admin/Engineer.

  • Expertise in virtualization (VMware and/or KVM).

  • Proficiency in SCCM, AD, DNS, DHCP.

  • Strong scripting and automation skills, particularly in PowerShell.

  • Knowledge of database technologies.

  • Citrix administration is a plus

  • Familiarity with server-related technologies like RAID systems, backups, and SAN.

  • Understanding of security best practices for systems.

  • Experience with performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.

  • Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, IP routing, SSH/SFTP/SCP, and DNS.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 97,120 and USD $ 192,960 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
