Job Description
This Welding Inspector is responsible for inspecting and assessing the quality and strength of welding work. Your primary job is to ensure that welds are safe and ready to function as part of the device or structure. You will also inspect the equipment used and ensure welders adhere to company and state safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
-Issuing welding tickets to company workers.
-Checking welding specifications for a job.
-Ensuring the correct equipment and materials are being used for a weld.
-Inspecting completed welds.
-Assessing the quality and strength of completed welds.
-Suggesting alternative welding techniques.
-Demonstrating correct welding procedures.
-Generating new welding techniques.
-Maintaining a clean and safe work area.
-Ensuring welders adhere to state health and safety regulations.

Skills and Requirements
-Previous work experience as a welding inspector working on steel high-rise buildings (3-5 years preferred)
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints
-Ability to analyze data using Microsoft Excel
-Knowledge of health and safety practices -Certifications: ICC and CWI
-DSA or hospital experience
-LA County or LA City License in Welding null
