Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Recommending change in administrative policies, procedures and office practices affecting subordinate organizations, and foresee administrative problems and requirements; 2) Eliminating conflict and duplication in extensive office procedures; 3) Rapidly learning and implementing new software and digital systems 4) Writing sufficiently to prepare responses for supervisor's or leader's signature; 5) Extensive experience and comfort using various software packets (including but limited to Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Jabber, SharePoint) to create, update, edit, and revise a wide range of documents, automated records, databases, etc.; 6) Preparing travel arrangement for group members utilizing the Defense Travel System; 7) Preparing for protocol events to accept distinguished visitors, invitations lists and work seating charts 8) Provides pay input on command civilians; and 9) Checks civilian evaluation reports for presence and format 10) Setting a schedule for, gathering, preparing, and providing to the command team daily reference and read-ahead material; 11) Working in SOCOM organizations and developing a working knowledge of SOF organizations (USASOC preferred). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
