As a member of the Oracle Life Sciences development organization, you will work with multiple teams to deliver maintainable, testable and scalable features in a large multitenant cloud native web application. As a tech lead you will be deeply involved in the entire SDLC from architecture, development, testing, first class monitoring, to production. We believe in ownership and expect you to think long term, mentor, and empower other engineers. You will need to balance between feature development and production KPIs, as well as share your knowledge with other team members to foster collaboration and inclusion.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Architect, design, code, debug, test and maintain full stack features of a large customer-facing cloud native application.

  • Provide high-level architecture guidance and develop specifications to resolve software problems

  • Create and review detailed technical designs for complex projects within team

  • Conduct peer code reviews and provide insightful feedback

  • Ability to identify performance and scalability challenges and provide right technical resolutions

  • Debug complicated issues that span multiple modules, involve complex concurrency or low-level problems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

  • 10+ years of developing and shipping enterprise distributed and/or cloud native systems.

  • Strong grasp of system design fundamentals and distributed systems architectural best practices.

  • Proven experience in building Enterprise level applications with Java/J2EE, web application development and microservices.

  • Experience designing/implementing high performance Web services using REST.

  • Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)

  • Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS (SQL) is highly desired.

  • Competence in full life-cycle web software development and on time delivery with high quality.

  • Experience with high volume distributed application development in a multitenant SaaS environment.

  • Experience in product development Company with Agile methodology.

US: Hiring Range: from $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  • Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  • Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
