About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect for our Data Engineering team. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the data engineering team with the best practices across the spectrum of data product development. It would involve designing, developing, and maintaining our data warehouse.

What You Will Do:

  • Design, architect, and maintain the data warehouse infrastructure to support business intelligence and analytics needs.

  • Implement DBT (Data Build Tool) for data modeling, data transformation, and orchestration of data pipelines.

  • Develop and manage data pipelines, ensuring data quality, reliability, and scalability.

  • Lead DBT transformations, optimizing performance and efficiency.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.

  • Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices.

  • Experience with Airflow orchestration for scheduling and managing workflows.

  • GCP experience, including familiarity with Google Cloud services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub.

  • Mentor and coach team members, providing guidance and support for their professional development.

  • Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in data engineering and analytics.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on designing and implementing data warehouses, data modeling, ETL processes, and data transformation pipelines.

  • Proficiency in DBT (Data Build Tool) and experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

  • Strong expertise in SQL, Python, and data engineering tools and frameworks.

  • Experience with CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Docker).

  • Knowledge of data governance principles, data quality management, and regulatory compliance.

  • Experience with Airflow orchestration and familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead a team to deliver high-quality results.

We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location. This position has an annual estimated salary of $183,100 - $215,190, an annual bonus, and a competitive equity package.
