Accounting is projected to grow faster than the national average in the next decade due to changing financial laws and increased accounting regulations. Accounting professionals are involved in the strategic decision making of an organization from a financial perspective. They are also skilled in preparing analyzing and verifying financial documents analyzing budges investments and financial planning tax preparation cost and asset management and performance evaluation. Specific job duties vary among three distinct fields including public management and government accounting.
