Program Description |
The Fitness and Nutrition Trainer career path can be rewarding both personally and professionally. AFNA provides a classroom-taught and hands-on training environment where students learn and practice the essential skills and knowledge sets required for entry-level fitness trainer industry employment. Students additionally are provided the means to develop confidence in their craft and offer a high level of client service. Employment opportunities for students are only one goal of the program. AFNA underscores key strategies that can help students approach clients, generate sales, effectively communicate schedule policy, and build lasting relationships for more stable and sustained career potential. Many opportunities exist in the field, including (but not limited to) positions with: National athletic club chains, recreational resorts, athletic performance and physical therapy clinics, government agencies, company wellness programs, boutique fitness business and more.
