License Description Description of Occupation: A pharmacist interprets prescriptions and compounds or dispenses medications ordered by physicians, dentists, or other authorized prescribers. Maintains proper records of them; stores and preserves biologicals, vaccines, and other drugs subject to deterioration, advises patients on the therapeutic values, contents, hazards, and uses of drugs and related devices; provides drug information to other medical professionals; and reviews drug utilization of patients.Requirements for Licensing: An applicant to become a registered pharmacist in the CNMI must: be of good moral character, be a graduate of and have an academic degree from a college of pharmacy or department of pharmacy of a university accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education and/or approved by the Board; have satisfactorily passed an examination approved by the Board; is lawfully entitled to remain and work in the CNMI; have completed one year of practical pharmaceutical experience or pharmacy internship.Examinations: Endorsement.
