Lead Abatement Workers are employees of a lead abatement contractor or of the owner or manager of a leased or rented dwelling or dwelling unit, or of a childcare facility. They may take any set of measures designed to permanently eliminate a lead exposure hazard, including removal, containment, encapsulation, or replacement of surfaces or fixtures that present a lead exposure hazard and all preparation, cleanup, and post-abatement clearance testing associated with such measures.

Examination: Not required
Continuing Education: Refresher training program specific to the discipline must be completed once every three years
Fees:
Reciprocity: Permitted with individuals licensed by another state or the federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), provided the requirements for licensure and training are equivalent to or higher than requirements of this state
