Home Inspectors
License Description
Applicants must satisfactorily complete 90 hours of classroom education, and 30 to 40 hours of in-field training with a training provider approved by the Board. Applicants must pass the National Home Inspectors Examination given by the examination Board of Professional Home Inspectors, visit http://www.homeinspectionexam.org/ for more information. Licensed inspectors must carry a minimum of $300,000 in General Liability and Errors and Omissions insurance coverage. Must attend the Report Writing Seminar and Standards of Practice review. Note: A Home Inspector's license is issued to an individual only, and will not be issued to a business or corporation.
