License Description GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION Engages in the construction, maintenance, installation, alteration, repair, remodeling or removal, and placement of plumbing under the supervision and responsibility of a master plumber. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to read, comprehend and write. EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS You may secure an application by contacting the regulatory agency. Normally the test is given on the third Saturday of February and May and on the first Saturday in August and November, or as determined by the regulatory agency. Type examination, written, drawing and practical. Passing score of 70% is allowed on one (1) phase of the examination with an overall score of 75%. Examination is in the English language. The examination fee is $50.00. Should you fail, contact the regulatory agency. GENERAL INFORMATION for LICENSURE or CERTIFICATION Must be a citizen of the United States or have first papers. Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. There are no residency or health requirements. You must be of good moral character. Must have two (2) consecutive years experience as an apprentice under the supervision of a master or journeyman plumber. All license are renewed annually by June 30 through the regulatory agency with a renewal fee of $40.00.
