Social Worker, Independent Practice
License Description GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION Practice which focuses on the evaluation and treatment of emotional disorders and mental illness as related to the total health of the individual. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS You must have a minimum of two (2) years full-time post-masters experience, consisting of at least thirty (30) hours per week OR three (3) years of part-time consisting of at least twenty (20) hours per week, of post-master's degree employed in independent practice. Experience having been acquired under appropriate supervision. EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS For application procedures, type examination, passing score, examination fee, and retake procedures, contact the regulatory agency. Examination is given three (3) times a year, spring, summer and fall. GENERAL INFORMATION for LICENSURE or CERTIFICATION You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. There are no residency or health requirements. You must be of good moral character. Contact the regulatory agency regarding work experience requirements. License must be renewed three (3) years from date of issuance or from last date of renewal. The renewal fee is $75.00.
