License Description
An applicant may qualify for registration (certification) based on successful completion of a Connecticut Department of Public Health approved nurse's aide training program within 24 months of the date of application. Applicants must successfully complete and pass both the written and practical parts of the Connecticut CNA examination administered by Prometric to be placed on the Connecticut Nurse's Aide Registry. You must pass the test within 24 months of completion of the CNA training program. You can apply on line using the online application. Payment must be by credit or debit card. The fee for the examination is $118. Applicants must include their preferred test site on their application. There are no limits as to how many times you can take the exam within the 24 month period. Once you pass a section (written or clinical) in the 24 month period, you do not have to take it again.
