Boiler Inspector (State)
License Description
Boiler Inspectors visually inspect boilers, water and steam connection pipes, both internally and externally, to locate leaks and defective parts. In addition, they visually inspect all repaired boilers to ensure that the repairs were satisfactorily performed. If any discrepancies are noted, they notify the appropriate authority to make the needed repairs. No boiler operation will be resumed until all repairs have been made. They also, in their inspections, inspect the tools used for cleaning and maintenance. They also inspect pressure vessels in addition to boilers and water and steam connection pipes. All work performed must be in accordance with the State of Arkansas Boiler and Pressure Vessel laws, rules, and regulations. Requirements: 1) Must have five years experience in construction, maintenance, installation, and repair of high-pressure boilers and unfired pressure vessels. Must be certified by the National Boiler Board of inspectors.
