License Description
All applicants shall: be required to demonstrate United States citizenship or legal presence; Hold current unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in Alabama; Hold a master's degree, or post-master's certificate in advanced practice nursing from an accredited graduate program in nurse anesthesia recognized by the Alabama Board of Nursing. The master's degree is not required for graduates prior to 2003; Hold current certification as a Nurse Anesthetist by the National Board on Certification & Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) www. aana.com.
