Veterinary Euthanasia Technician
License Description
The Board of Veterinary Medicine requires euthanasia technician to be certified. However, controlled substance registrations are issued and renewed by the Drug Enforcement Agency and the Idaho Board of Pharmacy. Applicants for certification must: 1.) Be over 18 years of age; 2.) Complete an approved training course; 3.) Submit fingerprints and pass a criminal background check; 4.) Pass a written and practical exam; 5.) Be employed by a certified euthanasia agency Term: Licenses must be renewed annually.
