License Description TOUR GUIDES AND ESCORTS SOC Code 39-7011 Entry Salary N/A Average Salary N/A Job Description Outfitters provide guide or packing services for the purpose of taking any big or trophy game animal. They do not include landowners who provide such services on their own land. Requirements 1. At least 18 years of age. 2. Experience as a Licensed Professional Guide for not less than one year or similar experience accepted by the Board. 3. Possess the necessary and applicable equipment and facilities. 4. Be certified in first aid. 5. Possess a certificate of competence and safety in the use and handling of firearms (hunter safety card). 6. Must have insurance (or a letter of intent from an insurance company) while licensed. 7. Must have operation plan filled out. Continuing Education There are no continuing education requirements for outfitters. Restrictions Conviction of a felony. Fraud or substantial misrepresentation in obtaining a license or advertising. Violation of any significant Federal or State law or related regulations pertaining to wildlife, game and fish. Unethical or dishonorable conduct. Willfully endangering the health and safety of any person. Inhumane treatment of any animal. Willful violation of the terms and conditions under which the license is issued. School Located in Wyoming Outfitter training is provided by the Board. License Outfitters are licensed by the Wyoming Board of Outfitters and Professional Guides. Licenses expire annually on December 31st. Examination Examinations for new applicants are given upon 14 days advance notice.
