Taxicab Driver
License Description Except in Clark County, taxicab companies in Nevada are licensed by the state's Transportation Authority (NTA). The NTA does not license taxi drivers. In general, those employed as taxi drivers (outside of Clark County) are required to have a valid driver's license (Class C) and will be referred by their employer to a local law enforcement agency for a background check. The requirements for taxicab drivers in Clark County are listed separately.
