Secondary School Teacher
License Description
A secondary license authorizes the holder to teach grades 7-12. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, and must have: 1) Completed an approved program for secondary school teaching, or 2) Completed required courses for a teaching major from an accredited institution and have 22 semester credits in professional secondary or occupational education approved by the Department. Visit the Department website for further information on requirements and course work. Reciprocity: A license to teach in Nevada under state reciprocity may be issued under certain conditions. Fees are subject to change. Fees are: initial application - $161; additional endorsement - $50.
