SEPTAGE SERVICING OPERATOR
License Description
Anyone engaged in the business of removing and disposing of domestic septage from septic tanks, holding tanks, portable toilets or other similar sewage treatment or disposal facilities must obtain a septic tank pumping contractor license from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. The Operator-In-Charge, as designated on a Septage Servicing Business License, works for (or is) the business owner and is responsible for all Septage Servicing activities of that particular Licensed business. The defining factor regarding the Grade Level required of the Operator-In-Charge is determined by the method of septage disposal practiced by the business.
