Private Investigator
License Description
Individuals, In order to be licensed as an unarmed private investigator, individuals must be at least 18 years old, be a US citizen or resident alient, be employed by or have an offer from a licensed private investigator company, have no criminal convictions that directly relate to the individual's capacity to perform the duties of a private investigator and that would hinder public safety and must complete the pre-assignment training requirements, submit the required application and pay the required $200 fee. In order to licensed as an armed private investigator, individuals must be at least 21 years old, have a current firearms certificate issued by the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission and be licensed as unarmed private investigator or agency principal, must submit the required application and pay an additional $100 fee in addition to the required fee to be an unarmed private investigator.
