License Description JOB DESCRIPTION: An occupational therapist assistant works under the direction of a professional occupational therapist in carrying out rehabilitation programs. The assistant helps the therapist plan and carry out educational, vocational, and recreational activities aimed at helping patients regain use of those capacities impaired. Occupational therapy assistants are employed largely in hospitals, schools, nursing homes, community health centers, and residential care facilities.
