Flame Effects Operators and Assistants
License Description
Flame effects operators and assistants must have a certificate of registration. Applicants must: 1) Be at least 21 years old and be able to give written and oral orders in English. 2) Have not been convicted of a felony or have an addiction to drugs or alcohol. 3) Have a working knowledge of federal, state and local laws pertaining to the safe storage, handling and use of explosive materials. 4) Pass any exam deemed necessary by the State Fire Marshal. Visit the Fire Marshal's Office website for more information. Fees may be subject to change. Fees are: operator certificate --$55; assistant certificate -- $27.50.
