Title Agents and Escrow Officers
License Description
Title agents and escrow officers must be licensed in Nevada. Applicants must: 1) Be a Nevada resident (or reside within 50 miles of the state) and at least 18 years of age. 2) Complete pre-licensing education requirements at a state-approved school. 3) Provide proof of having at least one year of recent experience relating to title insurance that is acceptable to the Division. 4) Pass the state insurance examinations (in the lines of authority applied for) administered by Pearson VUE. 5) Provide fingerprint cards for a criminal history report. Visit the Division website for more information on the licensing requirements. Fees may be subject to change. Fees are: examination--$90; initial licensing--$195; business/agency affiliation--$60; fingerprinting --$37.50 (payable to Department of Public Safety) or $55.25 (electronic by Pearson VUE).
