License Description In order to become a licensed landscape designer or planter in the State of Alabama, the applicant must: have sufficient knowledge and competency to do the work, but no formal education is required; submit an exam application and a written statement outlining their training and experience in this field; pass a written examination and obtain a Professional Services Permit and Nursery Dealer Permit in this field; pass a written examination and obtain a Professional Services Permit and Nursery Dealer Permit.
