Licensure Requirements
A person applying for licensure as a professional landscape architect must submit an application and pay the required fees to the Nebraska State Board of Landscape Architects. Applicants must meet the Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB) Standards of Eligibility.Exceptions: If an applicant has not satisfied the Examination Standard of the CLARB Standards of Eligibility, but received their initial licensure by grandfather clause, is in good standing, and has a minimum of three years of experience at the time of the application to the Nebraska board, the examination requirement may be waived; orIf the applicant has a minimum of fifteen years of licensed experience in good standing, the examination and/or education requirements may be waived.
Fees
Initial License Application Fee: $100 (Individual has never been licensed and is seeking their very first license)Comity/Reinstatement License Application Fee: $300 (Individual is already licensed in at least one other jurisdiction and is seeking licensure in Nebraska for the first time or has been licensed in Nebraska previously and the license has been expired for over a year.)Examination Fees: Determined by the exam administrator
Renewal
Renewals are valid for two years. Licensees with last names beginning with A-L renew in even-numbered years. Those with last names beginning with M-Z renew odd-numbered years.Renewal Fee - $300.00 biennially.Late Renewal Fee- 10% of the annual fee each month late, but not to exceed the amount of the regularrenewal fee. After 1 year, a new application is required and the licensee must meet the currentlicensing requirements in place at that time.
