Occupational Description


A Professional Employer Organization is any person engaged in the business of providing professional employer services. These requirements are unaffected by use of terms like "staff leasing company," "administrative employer," "employee leasing company," or any name other than Professional Employer Organization.

Licensure Requirements


Each individual, partnership, or corporation operating as a Professional Employer Organization must register with the Department of Labor. Applicants must complete a registration form and maintain working capital of at least $100,000.00. If positive working capital is less than $100,000.00, a bond, certificate of deposit, escrow account, or irrevocable letter of credit in that amount is required.

Fees


Full Registration- $250.00 Limited Registration- $100.00

Renewal


Renewal is required annually. Renewal fees are $250.00 for Full; $100.00 for Limited.
