Applicants and licensed providers must understand Minnesota home care laws. The license a home care provider holds depends on the types of services offered. Review information about MDH??s expectations for policies and procedures, as well as other important and helpful information at these links: Expectations for Agency-Specific Policies and Procedures for Home Care Providers Integrated License: Home and Community-Based Services Designation Effective July 1, 2015, an applicant for home care licensure or a licensed home care provider may apply to the commissioner of health for an integrated license: home and community-based services (HCBS) designation to provide basic support services as identified in Minn. Stat. § 245D.03, subd. 1, paragraph (b). The designation allows the licensed home care provider to provide basic support services that would otherwise require licensure under Minn. Stat.
