ACUPUNCTURIST
License Description Acupuncturists administer therapeutic treatment of symptoms and disorders by inserting needles of varying lengths and applying moxibustion to specific areas of the human body utilizing knowledge of acupuncture points and their functions to treat and mitigate specific conditions. They review a patient's medical history, physical findings, and diagnoses made by other physicians to ascertain a patient's symptoms to be treated. They may administer thermal or electrical treatment, or recommend dietary guidelines, energy flow exercises or dietary or herbal supplements in conjunction with their treatments.
