Pediatric Minimal Sedation Permit
License Description California Licensed dentists. Fees: Application: $459 Renewal: $182 Examination Frequency: N/A Exam Locations: N/A Experience Requirement: Must satisfy one of the following requirements: Training in the administration of pediatric minimal sedation shall be acceptable if it meets either of the following as approved by the board: (1) Consists of at least 24 hours of pediatric minimal sedation instruction in addition to one clinical case. The pediatric minimal sedation instruction shall include training in pediatric monitoring, airway management, and resuscitation and patient rescue from moderate sedation. (2) Completion of a CODA-approved residency in pediatric dentistry. Average Time to Process Application: 7-10 days. Renewal Period: Biennially (every second year). Special License Requirements: A certificate holder must complete a minimum of 7 hours of approved courses of study related of pediatric minimal sedation as a condition of renewal.
