Dental Hygientist
License Description Persons who perform oral prophylaxis, deep scaling, root planning, polishing with hand or mechanical instruments and other such related duties authorized by the Louisiana State Board of Dentistry under the direct on-premises supervision of a licensed dentist must pass a written and clinical test given by one of the regional dental testing agencies, to be licensed. Must have graduated from a training school of dental hygienists approved by the Louisiana State Board of Dentistry, and be a citizen or legal resident of the United States.
