License Description
A cremated remains disposer is a person who disposes of, or offers to dispose of, cremated human remains or hydrolyzed human remains by scattering over or on land or sea. Fees: Application: $190; Examination: None; Renewal: $100. Examination Frequency: N/A Exam Locations: N/A Experience Requirement: N/A Average Time to Process Application: 20 days. Renewal Period: Annually. Each September 30. Special License Requirements: Requires registration of aircraft and boating vessel if used in scattering cremated remains. Comments: Cremated Remains Disposers are not licensed but, instead, are registered. Authority: Business and Professions Code, Sections 7611.9; 7672-7673.2.
