Counselor, Professional (Conditional)
License Description
Professional counselors work as mental health service providers, whose main role is to assess people for disorders and provide courses of treatment. They also help children, teenagers, adults and the elderly deal with cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal and mental health issues. Conditional licenses are awarded to applicants so they can fulfill the supervised experience requirements. After they have achieved 2,000 hours of supervised experience, they may apply for regular licenses and practice independently.
