License Description
Chapter 943, Florida Statutes; Rule 11A-B, Florida Administrative Code: An individual who is employed full-time by the state whose primary responsibility is the supervised custody, surveillance, and control of assigned inmates, probationers, parolees, or community controllees within institutions of the Department of Corrections.

Educational Requirements:
Graduation from high school or the equivalent degree and successful completion of a basic recruit training course. At least 40 hours continuing education are required every 4 years. Licensee must complete eight hours of human diversity training.
