Mining, Mine Emergency Technician
License Description
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION Provides immediate emergency medical care and intervention to stabilize a patient's condition at the mine site. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Must have forty (40) hours of classroom training as required by the Department of Mines and Minerals. Must also have Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS Contact the regulatory agency for applications and procedures. Time and location of examination is determined by class instructor. Type examination, written and demonstration of skills. Examination fee is $16.00. Contact the regulatory agency if you should fail the examination. GENERAL INFORMATION for LICENSURE or CERTIFICATION For age, residency, physical condition and moral character and work experience, contact the regulatory agency for further details. Must be conscientious and trustworthy to ensure safety of self, fellow employees and the public. CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS (after licensure or certification) Eight (8) hours annual retraining required by the Department of Mines and Minerals. Must maintain current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
