Occupational Description


A Race Horse Trainer's responsibility includes the condition, soundness, and eligibility of the horses entered by the Trainer in a race.

Licensure Requirements


A Race Horse Trainer must be at least 19 years old.  They must be tested and approved by the Board of Stewards at all racetracks.A felony conviction may be grounds for denial.

Fees


License Fee - $40.00.

Renewal


Renewal is required annually by December 31.  The renewal fee is $40.00.Fingerprints are required every 5 years.
