License Description
DESCRIPTION OF OCCUPATION: An Athletic Trainer evaluates and advises individuals to assist recovery from or avoid athletic-related injuries or illnesses, or maintain peak physical fitness. May provide first aid or emergency care. REQUIREMENTS FOR LICENSING: Personal requirements: Be 18 years old and a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or alien authorized to work in the U.S. Education and Experience requirements: Complete educational and certification requirements of the Board of Certification, Inc (BOC). Have and maintain current and active status certification from the BOC. Arrange to have BOC submit proof of current, active and unencumbered certification. EXAMINATIONS: None. FEES: Between July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023, pay $285 (application $50, registration $50, Compliance resolution fund $105, 2/3 renewal $80). OTHER: There were 237 licenses currently active as of February 24, 2022. ~ revised 01/20
