Flight Instructor
License Description
To obtain certification as a Flight Instructor, the individual must hold either a Commercial Pilot or Airline Transport Pilot certificate with appropriate aircraft and instrument ratings. Training is required as well as experience in the type of aircraft being rated. This license is valid for 2 years and may be renewed by one of several options, such as passing a practical test, documenting student success, or taking a refresher course.
