License Description JOB DESCRIPTION: Public accountants (PA) are owners and staff members of public accounting firms. In order to be considered an active PA, they are required to complete a specified amount of continuing professional education. The Oklahoma Accountancy Board requires 1800 hours of experience before licensure. In addition, residency is required to sit for the exam but not for licensure.
