Learn more about the State Resource Finder.
What does this tool do?
The State Resource Finder helps you connect to programs and government offices in your state that can help you:
- Find a job or training program
- Apply for food or housing benefits
- Apply for unemployment or other benefits
- Get a copy of your birth certificate, apply for a driver's license, or get other identification
How do I get started?
If you've already selected a state somewhere on the website, you'll automatically see resources for that state.
To see resources for another state, change your location under "Your Search."
Resources are divided into five categories. Click the "+" or "–" next to each category title to see or to hide the list of resources.
How can I use this information?
Click on a resource name to link to their website. Note that the website will open in a new tab; to return to your list of state resources, close the tab by clicking the "X" in the upper right corner.
You can download and save your results as an Excel, Word, RTF or PDF file using the "Download" button at the bottom of your results. You can print or e-mail your results using the printer or e-mail icons at the top of your page.
