The Refugee Assistance Finder helps you locate organizations that offer support services to refugees. The programs offer a range of services to refugees that often include:

  • Job search assistance and referrals
  • Case management
  • Employment skills training
  • Family budget planning

Many programs also help refugees with:

  • Housing, utilities, and food
  • Transportation
  • Health and medical care
  • English language classes
  • Social adjustment and other services

What kinds of programs are included?

Programs listed in the Refugee Assistance Finder include:

  • General refugee assistance programs. These programs offer a range of the services listed above. Many are funded through the Voluntary Agencies Matching Grant Program of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, Office of Refugee Resettlement.
  • Refugee Support Services. Programs marked RSS are the coordinating agency for Refugee Support Services in their state.
  • Refugee Career Pathways. These programs serve refugees who are skilled workers and provide information about obtaining the necessary credentials, education, experience, and job skills to secure employment in their professional and/or skilled career field in the United States. How do I use this tool?

After you've selected a location, you'll find a list of organizations offering refugee support services in that area. Use the information provided to contact an organization and ask about available services. You'll see each organization's name, address, phone number, and website. You can:

  • Contact any of the organizations using the contact information provided.
  • View a map or driving directions.
  • Download and save your list of results in Excel, Word, PDF, or rich-text format, using the "Download" button at the bottom of your results.
  • Print or email the list of results by using the links at the top of the page.
