Did you lose a job or work hours due to a disaster?

You may be eligible for Disaster Unemployment Assistance if your work hours or self-employment was reduced because of a disaster.

Learn more by contacting your state’s unemployment benefits program below. In most states, you get started by applying for regular unemployment insurance. If you evacuated or moved to another state, file a claim in the state where the disaster occurred.

Do you need other employment-related help?

You can always get free employment, training, or job search assistance at an American Job Center in your local area. Or reach out to the U.S. Department of Labor Helpline at 1-877-US-2JOBS (1-877-872-5627) TTY:1-877-889-5627.

You can find other income and job assistance resources at Disaster Recovery Assistance, from the U.S. Department of Labor.
