Purpose To support a deserving and conscientious Gilroy student pursuing a four-year college degree.

Qualifications Applicant must be a graduating senior from Gilroy High School, Christopher High School or GECA and a permanent resident of Gilroy, CA; must be accepted at an accredited four-year college or university; must have a minimum 3.5 GPA. Applicant must also exhibit the following characteristics: shows a love of learning, works to meet the needs of others; advocates for positive change; demonstrates inclusivity, a strong sense of social responsibility, and leadership; is committed to equality and passionate about the environment; exhibits creativity.
Criteria Selection will be made by the scholarship committee.

Number of Awards At least 1.
To Apply Applicant must submit completed online GUSD Common Scholarship Application; three letters of recommendation; copy of unofficial high school transcripts; and an essay based on the prompt provided online (600 words max).
Deadline March 7.
